Architects

'Ello,

On Friday night, my boyfriend, 5 of my friends and I headed up to Manchester to go and see one of my favourite bands, Architects. I was introduced to Architects just under a year and a half ago when I met my boyfriend, Andy, and he introduced me to them. I understand that they're not going to be to everyone' s taste at all, but I am a fan of 'heavy' music (I'm not going to call it screamo, because then I'd have to stab myself in the face as that term makes me feel physically sick) so I absolutely love them.

The gig was without a doubt the best- and most brutal- gig I've ever attended and despite the fact I got kicked in the eye by a crowd surfer, which left me with a black eye that my mum pointed out to me when she picked me up from work the next day (thanks for telling me guys), I loved every second of the night. It's safe to say, I came out absolutely battered and bruised. To match my black eye, I also have bruises all over my body, a sore wrist, back and ankle and blisters all over my feet. Just a word of warning to everyone, don't get to barrier at a metal gig if you're 5ft3 because you're bound to either get practically beaten up by crowd surfers feet and arms flailing about or you're going to get crushed to death in the fight to get away from the pits.

The three support acts they had were fantastic too; even though I'd only heard of one of them before hand, I've come out of the gig determined to get into all three of them:
